Steps and Procedures

ONE\\DEPLOY ICFRT

Within 12 hours of a disaster taking place our initial itsChance First Responder Team departs from Jacksonville, Florida.  This includes four to six qualified individuals; making a 72 hour commitment to the cause.  The team consist of Fire Fighters, Nurses, Paramedics, Former Military, Engineers, Pastors, Etc and either a Videographer or Photographer. These teams are created prior to an emergency to ensure safety of each member of our team. If you feel you may be qualified or want more information, contact us today.

TWO\\ASSIST AND ASSESS

During the first 72 hours, our local ICFRT assist local and state authorities in whatever way possible.  In the past this has included basic first aid, the rescuing of flood victims, performing light search and rescue tactics, providing security and transporting individuals to proper medical facilities.  It is during this time we are also assessing the chances for non first responders to make a difference.

THREE\\ESTABLISH ICC

Following FEMA requirements, we establish an ICC to begin operating from.  This is done within the first 72 hours and will serve as a base of operations for the remaining time spent in the area of a disaster.  Being a (NIMS) National Incident Management System compliant organization responding to the need for Emergency Relief allows itsChance to provide emergency support to fire, earthquakes, hurricanes and tornado disasters, while working with organizations such as Homeland Security, FEMA, and the local and State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) from our ICC.

FOUR\\MANAGE REQUEST FOR HELP

It's our goal to provide an immediate solution to our neighbors during a time of emergency; so the remaining eleven days we are in an area we manage request for help from individuals and companies alike. We do this through various media outlets, social media, and most importantly, our ICC where individuals can come speak to an itsChance representative in person.

FIVE\\MANAGE REQUEST TO HELP

During an emergency people from every walk of life feel compelled to help their neighbors, but simply put, they don't know where to start.  Our ICFRT provides us with the ability to know what's going on, see the need, and inform YOU of the chances to help. Partnering with Businesses, Churches, Schools and Individuals we use social media and technology to inform those outside of the disaster area how to make a difference in their neighbors lives!

SIX\\TRAIN LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES

We believe in empowering the local community with what we have learned over time.  During the last eleven days it's our goal to identify someone within the local community that would like to continue impacting their neighbors lives and train them with the necessary skills to continue operating.  This may be members of a church, another not-for-profit or even an individual.

SEVEN\\EXIT DISASTER AREA

On the 15th day, we have built relationships and implemented a system  that allows us to leave the area effected and move on to the next. From past experience, it's important to have an exit strategy so the local community can continue bettering their lives and helping their neighbors!
