Our Original Haiti Plan: Accomplished

Our Original Haiti Plan: Accomplished

It's because of so many other people that 12 of us were able to go to Haiti on Jan 21st and make the difference that we did!  There is a lot to come from the trip, and we are sorry that we haven't had time to update things yet... but below is our original plans, which we accomplished!

Reuniting the Freycinet family

It's on our list of things to do, but it's not everything.  Our team member Leu grew up in Haiti.  His 100 year old grandmother was recently rescued by his cousins before his uncles house collapsed. We know that the conditions in Haiti may prevent us from ever making it to Leu's family, but if it all possible, we are going to do it!

Helping the El Shaddai Orphanage

Team member Edd Cobb has worked closely with the El Shaddai orphanage and has been in contact with representatives since the earthquake.  We plan to aid in any assistance necessary within the walls of El Shaddai from simply spending time with children to basic medical necessities such as wrapping wounds and washing feet.

Clearing streets and removing debris

If you've seen the news, you know what the streets look like.  We are taking the necessary tools such as concrete saws, sledge hammers, picks and shovels to clear as much as possible from the roads surrounding our base camp and anywhere else that we are able to help.

It's true.  Over the past 24 hours since we announced that we have an eleven person team going to Haiti... our team has grown tremendously!! There may be eleven of us flying to Haiti, but it's because of so many of you choosing to donate financially, donate your time, and support the eleven of us that we are able to do it!  YOU are a part of our team! Below is a growing list of our Operation Freycinet team. They are making it happen!! //There are more members to this team, we haven't had time to update it yet!

I peeked at Jenny Moss's FB page and clicked your page here. I think it's great what you and the others are doing. Bless you. I wish I could donate more, but I am jobless. If you ever need help fundraising, or with projects - keep me in mind. Love-Kelly (SolKat Photography)

am praying for Haiti, and will add you to those prayers... may Papa God be with you, everystep you take, every move you make... may you dwell constantly in the Kings dominion, which is love and joy and peace in the Holy Ghost, even as He dwells in you. amen.
may you not only walk in the light, but may you be that light to those in the darkness of all that has happened and came before in Haiti; may Papa use you to restore, to renew, to renovate, to resognate, to revelate what is His good and perfect will for the people of Haiti; may you receive insight, inspiration, dreams and vision and all that Papa can show you to help the people of Haiti.so be it.
may you get ideas for witty inventions to help the haitians to get buisness minded. may you be enabled to show them that God really does have a plan for them to prosper then and to give them hope! may your mouth be filled with His words and plans and love for these His people in Haiti. so be it. ma gold

Team Haiti, Take comfort in knowing God has His hand on you. We will continue to pray for you and ask God to use you in a mighty way in which He will be glorified. Amy and I wish we were there with you. I don't know if you will have access to the net, but if you do see this please tell Marie and the children we said hello and send our love. There will be work to do in Haiti for a long time, maybe God will provide a way for us to go. The Young Adults class at Gray Gables will be praying for you also. Take care my brothers.

The last picture of the little boy, is that Daniel? Is he one of Marie's boys? Can you post any pictures of Deverson? He's my "son".... long story but I took Christmas to Marie in 2000 by myself and was handed a little baby that was days from death. Marie took him in and saved his life. I will never forget him and have watched him grow up over the years in my visits there. I will hopefully be there to see him and all the others next week...... Thank you for being there and taking supplies and for updating us with your tweets, blogs and pictures.

My husband is in Haiti with this team and I hear many people speak of the dangers and risks, but I refuse to fear tomorrow because God is already there. I do have moments when I feel fear or anxiety come over me like a wave. I just refuse to stay in it because I know God doesn't want me to get stuck in the fear and be tormented by it. I also know that He isn't frustrated or dissapointed in me because I experience these emotions. I find rest in His words and by the Comforter that is in me.
