Our Promise to You | 100% Transparency

Our Promise to You | 100% Transparency

As an organization founded on Christian principles, the book of 1 Timothy tells us that as an overseer, a leader, we must be above reproach. Meaning as an organization, our leadership has to be blameless for things that may cause someone to doubt our credibility or intentions. Whether you are a Christian or not, this principle seems worthy of upholding and we believe there is only one-way for this to happen!

As an organization that accepts financial contributions and gifts in kind from people who trust us, we will be 100% transparent in what we do with those gifts. Our promise to you is that at all times; you will see this transparency! We will provide this information without you having to ask for it.

Financial Donations
Each month we are accepting donations with the intent of the contribution going towards helping people during a disaster or training others to do so. This may include our overhead cost, someone’s salary, cost of supplies and tools, fuel, or even food. If we are using your donations for something, we are going to show you exactly where it's going! Meaning each time that we deploy to a disaster, we are going to scan our receipts and physically show you the impact you are having!

Gifts in Kind
On occasion a service or a physical item is donated to our organization. We agree to make every gift in kind donated to itsChance a public record. If we accept something, we will show you how it is being used.

Credentials
Let's be honest, sometimes you don't know who is asking you for money! So in being 100% transparent, we are going to show you not only where your money goes, but who you are giving it too!! As an incorporation within the state of Florida; we are registered as a Domestic Not-For-Profit and our 501c3 status is currently pending with the IRS. Upon receiving our tax exempt letter, we will also scan that document and provide you a visual copy. Until then, you can find proof that we are who we claim to be!

We understand that some may disagree with this concept and others have even stated that certain things need to be kept private, we disagree. We want to be known as an organization that is changing charity! We want to know your thoughts on this concept over all, but if you feel there is a way in which we can improve upon our methods of transparency, we would love to hear from you!

I think it's incredible that you want 100% transparency. I think it could either be done by posting to the site, like you are doing or allowing people that are curious to ask for it. There's nothing wrong with that and it might keep some crazies from looking at your finances.

Being transparent is a great way to show you are truly doing what you do to help others. I wish all non profits would follow after IC's example!
